Obama is NOT raising taxes

Much has been said about Obama raising taxes, but here's the deal on it.

George W Bush is raising your taxes. It is his tax cut that he signed into law that contained the time for them to EXPIRE.

Obama had nothing to do with this Legislation. It was signed by George W Bush.

Of course, only a few years ago John McCain himself wouldn't support those tax cuts, flip-flopping (again) his position entirely since beginning to run for President after the 2004 election.

Reward Republicans for 8 years of failure? No way, No how, No McCain!

HUH? Ok, we sold our first house for 102,000, we paid 33,500 for it, we bought another home for 130,000. We didn't have to pay ANY capitol gains! I inherited money from my step-mom, I didn't have to pay ANY capitol gains, my inheritance was a fraction of 600,000!

Do you have a link that says that? We aren't selling our house we live in now. I hope to die in it.

Ok, I have a question. #1 How are we going to reduce the trillion dollar deficit,#2 How are we going to continue to throw 10 billion a month to Iraq? #3 how are we going to have any Health Care reform where people can get the health care they need? You Conservatives seem to believe you have all the right answers. Well, it was Conservative thinking that got us into this mess of debt!

<<k, I have a question. #1 How are we going to reduce the trillion dollar deficit,>>

Create jobs and make sure government spending is reduced, and make sure more money stays in the hands of the people, not the govt.

<<#2 How are we going to continue to throw 10 billion a month to Iraq?>>

We aren't.

I believe that both parties got us into this mess first of all.

When we had her we were making very little money and barely getting by, we had only one car and that was a clunker that broke down all the time. We know what it's like to never eat out, never go out, never buy anything let alone anything new. We know what it's like to run out of money and food before the next payday. She was not our first child nor our last. Some of our best memories and funniest memories are from those days.

She's had hundreds of hospitalizations and at least 50 surgeries and done it all with a smile on her face. She is the toughest and happiest person I have ever known. We remember very clearly where we came from and what we've faced through the past 21 years having only arrived at our current financial position a few years ago. I could tell you many many stories about our crazy times, hard times, and the amazing things I've seen sitting in the E.R. all night long.

I am well aware of what's going on with the healthcare issue. I'm strongly against Obama's plan and his meddling in the healthcare industry. No good will come from that IMO. John McCain's plan is far superior to Obama's. We've always preferred less government interference in our lives.

I hope that one day you won't be quite so quick to judge people. Just because we are "wealthy" by Obama's standards now doesn't mean we don't know what it's like to be "poor".

I have no idea what you're trying to suggest by that comment.
