Or 7-11's or most grocery stores...about a million places to get cash. Why would anyone get cash at night in an outside ATM in an area they are not familiar with? The only outside ATM I will go to at night is a drive through ATM and even then I am looking all around the whole time. Not trying to blame the victim but really who uses ATM's at night?
Story just seems a bit fishy to me. Wonder if the retraction will make headlines when/if it is found to be false?
I don't know what WoWo's are but I just remembered that outside of Publix supermarkets there are Presto (atm) machines where you can take out money with no fee.
Also, at night, you can't really notice bumper stickers all that much. I mean, ok, was she in a well lit area with her car close by? I know the banks near me also have survailance cameras. Therefore, what happened could have been caught on tape. Was she followed to her car after the withdrawal? I think there are a lot of loose ends.
No I wasn't. I was questioning the veracity of her story. It lacks credibility, as does the OP. As did the now debunked story of Michelle and the Lobster. I don't know what did happen, but historically stories that don't quite ring true are often found to be false - remember Duke and the Lacrosse players? The part about a young female going to an ATM machine at night in a large city in an area she is not familiar with and then miraculously finding a 'nearby' friends house just doesn't ring true.
But hey you can jump on any available soap box you want to - just be careful they tend to be a bit unstable and the fall can be tough.

I understand that.
