What will measure BO's greatness since it will take a miracle for JM to get elected?

I think a lot of people fail to understand that the misfortunes of a current time sometimes are caused, at least in part, by the prior administration.

Okay, like Larry King last night, the former administration is taking the blame, but what about universal health care?

"It takes many years, often times way more than 8, for severe changes in economics to occur."

LOL! That's what the Republicans say whenever anything goes wrong during their tenure. It's Clinton's fault. Or both parties are all the same. Or there's nothing we can do. Or the Democrats do it too.

That's not leadership. It's abdication of responsibility. Even Clinton never tried to blame the first World Trade Center bombing on the first Bush Presidency. Never.

If your abdication of leadership theory were true, why don't we all just give up? Why vote? According to this theory, it doesn't matter who we elect. Everything is preordained.

In my mind Presidents make a difference during their Presidency. They can do good. They can do badly. The Republicans have done badly pretty much across the board - here at home with the worst fiscal crisis since the Great Depression and abroad by continuing to wage a very costly war in Iraq that wasn't really necessary.

It's time for a change.

Here we go again, let's blame it on the previous Administration. It's all Clinton's fault, or maybr it's Bush Sr's fault, no wait, it's REAGAN'S fault! YES, he had the cockimamie idea of the "Trickle down affect"! Yea, that's the ticket! Bush's policies in his Administration has much of the affect that is going on NOW. But not just Bush, much can be atributed to CHENEY. Cheney has had more power than ANY previous Vice Presidents. The whole idea that we thought we could go into Iraq and be welcomed as liberators was insane.

Whoever is elected President on Nov the 4th will have a most difficult time. Whoever it is is going to be critizied constantly, be it Obama or McCain.

The seeds for this current economic mess were all sown years ago with Fanny and Freddy extending credit to people who had little chance of paying it back. Obama, if elected will probably first investigate why Fanny and Freddy got out of hand and who was suppose to be watching it, like Barney Frank. Oh wait, on second thought, guess he probably won't do that. LOL
