Uh-huh...and Annenberg the billionaire was just a babe in the woods with none of his own perspicacity on the subject and now means to avail himself of assistants who could research the worthiness of such things.
BTW? Given Ms. Ashley Todd's recent "sugarcoating" (of her face, and her story), perhaps that's not the metaphor a good Republican like yourself wants to be reaching for at this precise moment. ;o)
McCain LOST???
>>The naiveté I saw was in espousing the virtues of anarchy, Marxism or even Ayres’ “idealism” without the slightest inkling of their historical context or of their impact on the lives of innocent people. As I said before, ideologies aren’t benign.
Um…again…historical context. It’s difficult to “trust” someone who can’t see what’s occurring right in front of them. The US government has just begun the largest socialist take-over of banking institutions in our history. Obama has proposed a socialist agenda for his, God forbid, Presidential administration…to the cheers of the “iPod generation.” Ideologies like socialism are sold to the ignorant masses who are made to feel dispossessed and entitled. Promises are made and enemies are created to entice the great unwashed to grant the power to those who will impose their will on the rest of society…and you can watch it all on your evening news. <<
And of course, being the "big daddy" of a group doesn't necessarily make you legally responsible for actions of others within the group. Had Ayers participated personally in this episode you cite, or had he been the tactical planner of it, then certainly he would be legally in jeopardy for it, as certainly as those who actually DID carry it out. However, absent that, while you personally may wish to hold Mr. Ayers accountable for every single act of every single member of the Weather Underground ever committed between the group's founding and its dissolution, our system of justice (indeed, I would argue, ANY rational system of justice) doesn't tend to operate that way. That's why the link you cite doesn't actually attempt to suggest that Ayers himself was involved in any way in that particular bombing....despite how much the McCain campaign has, in recent weeks, attempted to make it seem as if he was. Come to think of it, it's a lot like how the Bush administration never actually flat-out said in a press release or interview that Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11, they made every effort to talk about the two in the same breath so often that according to one poll, at one point as much as 70% of the American public believed that Hussein DID have something to do with 9/11, if not full culpability for it. That's how these things work. I know you want Mr. Ayers to be guilty of attempted murder in that case....but he is not. I know you would like to be able to continue to say the things you've been saying about how Ayers "likes to bomb families' homes with children sleeping inside"....but now that you know Ayers was NOT personally involved in that event, I wonder what you'll use to justify your continued insistence upon something which is verifiably UNTRUE.
McCain LOST???
>>Secular Progressives are coming out of the woodwork.<<
That sounds really cultish like.
I pointed out that Bob Jones University would provide sanitized points of view to help the concern that children would be exposed to left wing points of view in university.
>>they certainly wouldn't get it from Bob Jones<<
Is he related to Jim Jones?
What a shame to limit your children's education, to not let them hear many different viewpoints and make up their own minds about what is right,
