If McCain is elected, will he intentionally start a war?

This statement by McCain is far scarier to me than Biden's words.

I am talking about the posters here that say that if elected McCain might do something crazy, or that he is wanting to go after other countries.

But if you will correctly recount history, you will know that Bush didn't resort to war first.

"And to think the left says that the right tries to spread fear. Bwahahahaha!"

Actually, to your point, McCain took Biden's statement and used it in one of the most fear-mongering ads in American history.

"The UN inspectors, as I recall, asked for more time, since they could not find evidence of a nuclear program, and Bush called them "Obsolete"."

Yup. I am tired of Republicans trying to spin this disastrous war in Iraq that they needlessly started as anything but that.

He has no party lines to cross anymore with his divisive rhetoric and lunatic fringe running mate...

I am glad you posted this one. When I first heard McCain say this, I thought to myself that McCain sounded antagonistic...like "We are all Georgians" antagonistic, and he's not even POTUS!! Once again, McCain misses the mark on diplomacy. I believe that he is working himself up into

He does sound antagonistic but I don't think that was his intention. I believe that the campaign and the choices he has been forced to make are beginning to take their toll on him. I am not convinced that you can rely on anything he says anymore. He has gone completely 'off the reservation' in the last few weeks as he struggles to find a message that works. I don't think he means half of what he says anymore and I don't think he has a chance of accomplishing anything if he should manage to win. A possibility I still do not discount as he has managed some pretty amazing comebacks in the past. I just don't see him being able to sway a fillibuster proof congress. Furthermore I have concerns about Palin who seems to think she should be able to 'get in there and mix it up' with the senate. Should he manage to win by some miracle, or a late terrorist attack, I see him as essentially a lame duck - no power and no influence - with a rouge vp.
