If McCain is elected, will he intentionally start a war?

You're welcome.
>>> You're welcome. I was presenting you with facts that show that the military action the US has pursued has been misguided and poorly planned.
And yet we won...odd.
>>> We have lost 4,190 American military men and women in Iraq alone.
Yawn. Do I really need to post American losses from every other military engagement? I’m sure you had a bigger point than “soldiers die in wars.”
>>> It seems that in the face of all evidence, and even the admission of almost every public figure and government official, you believe as long as we keep staying the course and shooting down everyone that we think might be a threat, to the tune of 600,000 Iraqis (according to Lancet Medical Journal).
Wow...where do you get this stuff? "Every public figure?" You can't get "every public figure" to agree on anything…especially Iraq. And the "evidence" proves that "staying the course" WILL bring victory. If we had done as Obama and the other "cut and run" Dems wanted, there would be chaos in Iraq, possibly a genocide...a strong Al Qaeda...and Iran spreading it's influence. Cowardice doesn’t win wars or influence people.
>>> It is difficult to discern from the data how many of those are non-combatants, but by 2007, there had been about 200,000 insurgents killed, so based on that, 400,000 civilian non-combatants have been killed. That's approaching the number of people Saddam Hussein killed.
Actually, the number of Iraqis killed since 2003 is closer to 150,000. Again, is there a greater point than “people die in wars?”
>>> Even if you believe that it is the only real solution, can't you at least see that it is an international tragedy that so many people have been killed?
Of course it’s a tragedy…which is why the President exhausted every other means to address the threat before using military force.
Is it relevant? That's a generic view, unlike the scenario provided by "prophetic Joe." Biden didn't say "the next President would be tested" but that our enemies would intentionally generate an international crisis, on the level of the Cuban Missile Crisis, to test Barry specifically because he's naive and inexperienced...and that Barry's response would be wrong. I can see why thinking people would support Obama. LOL!
I have read in a number of places of Biden's statement saying "the next President would be tested" but did not recall him saying specifically because he's naive and inexperienced...and that Barack's response would be wrong.
Yawn...
I know it doesn't mean much, since these heroic soldiers were relatively "unskilled," low wage
>>> I have read in a number of places of Biden's statement saying "the next President would be tested" but did not recall him saying specifically because he's naive and inexperienced...and that Barack's response would be wrong. I guess I must have missed something. Can you give me some links where Biden stated "naive and experienced and the response would be wrong"? Thanks
I've posted Biden's comments below. Biden specifically mentions Obama, not "the next President" and the phrase "test his metal" is commonly understood to refer to his inexperience. Even though his supporters wish to turn a blind eye to Obama's experience and naivete, our enemies do not. Biden also says "it's not gonna be apparent that we're right"...which obviously means, "it's going to look like we got it wrong."
“Mark my words, it will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
>>> I know it doesn't mean much,
To you maybe.
>>> since these heroic soldiers were relatively "unskilled," low wage workers -
How do you know how skilled the soldiers were?...or how much they were paid? Sounds pretty arrogant to me.
>>> but there are 4,190 families out there who did much more than "yawn" when they found out that their loved one's died...
And now you're a mindreader? Sheesh!
Maybe fleur will recognize this mode of thinking......
