I should have done the title in ALL CAPS, but it won't matter as we will continue to see threads on here with the common themes of Obama as

Not unless they think they can get some real-world mileage out of such a claim. That's what people (including me, sometimes) keep forgetting about the wingnuts: they do NOTHING without thought for how it can get them to their goal. The entire "lawsuit" about Obama's citizenship/birth certificate was nothing more than a way to a) gin up fear of the "other" (scary dark-skinned foreigner, etc: if he doesn't have a birth certificate, who KNOWS what he is!!), and POSSIBLY b) to actually achieve legal victory and have Obama barred from the Presidency.

I seriously doubt, though, that even Mr. Berg himself (plus Corsi and the other wingnuts who supported him with "research") really expected to be victorious in the actual legal case. Sure, they'd have been thrilled if they HAD won.....but the goal was furthered by simply raising the issue and making a lot of noise about Indonesian and Kenyan origins and ties. It's really nothing more than a slightly-more-sophisticated version of the obviously-false cries of "Muslim!" that made the rounds via email.

However, the difference between those viral emails and this legal proceeding (other than a thin veneer of sophistication) is that the email "Muslim" attacks actually have a distinct advantage over this now-defunct legal proceeding: in the court of public opinion (and with the permanent memory and endless recirculation of the Internet), those smears will never truly die, no matter how many websites like snopes.com debunk them, or news exposés are done revealing them for shabby falsehoods: as PT Barnum remarked: there's one born every minute. But in an ACTUAL court - a court of LAW - although there is an appeals process, in general, once a judge rules, that's pretty much IT. There's no second-guessing, or naysaying. The judge's ruling carries with it the force of law, and by implication, the judgment of the people. So, in this lame-a$$ "birth certificate" tempest-in-a-teapot, the ruling is that, no, Mr. Berg....it's just not happening. And that's the end of it.

Which - because, as I said, GoOPers never do anything this close to an election which does not advance their goal - you will not hear peep one from anyone about it; it's served all the purpose it can, and it will be summarily and unceremoniously dropped like a hot rock from the GoOPers plate of "agendas to push"...and they'll probably thank you if you forget it ever happened (other than whatever lingering doubt about Obama's "otherness" it may have raised in you). Have you noticed, already, the clanging LACK of any GoOPer response in this thread? Why BOTHER responding; it's done. But just watch how many hits/responses/etc. any thread regarding Ayers or even Wright will continue to get....despite both of THOSE having been pretty much dealt with long ago, as well. Same principle involved: those are more like the email "Muslim" smears: they can be repeated endlessly (unless they somehow start to become toxic and backfire), and they may still scare a few more voters. Hence, they'll be talked about right up until election day and beyond, both here on this board, and in the larger Wingnut Wurlitzer, from Limbaugh to O'Bloviator to Hannity to Michelle "Anchor Baby" Malkin.

Just watch, and see if I'm not right.

No, not activist judge...I believe the condemnation will come in the form of "radical, liberal, socialist, anti-american judge".

Nah, but here's something to keep in mind in case of his victory:

IN GOD WE TRUST

While walking down the street one day a US senator is hit by a truck and dies.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the senator.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the senator.

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules."

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes
