An Obama funny

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference -- just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

LOVE it.
Idealism is great until it affects one negatively.
You do realize that you
>>> You do realize that you did not "redistribute" wealth the way that Obama is proposing?
No, that's exactly the way Obama has proposed to do it.
>>> You think that you did...just like Bush43 thought that his "tax cuts" would help Americans, but he was wrong, too.
Um...yeah...except that the economy grew 20% under Bush...and that's after the dotcom crash, 9/11 and two wars. Oh...maybe it did work after all. LOL!
>>> You did not pay that working person an income, his employer did.
Wrong. Most restaurants consider tips to be a part of the waitstaffs compensation.
>>> You might have reduced his supplemental income, but what "tax relief" did you give? None.
Right...none...and that's exactly what Obama is going to provide to 40% of Americans who don't pay taxes...welfare checks.
>>> Bush43 did the same thing, in essence, because he also took money out of the pockets of working people at the expense of rich people.
First of all, that doesn't make any sense...you can't TAKE money from poor people at the EXPENSE of rich people...but I think I got the gist of what you were "trying" to say...and it's typical lib crapola. The Bush tax cuts were across the board cuts, not aimed at one segment of society as Obama's are. You're also being befuddled by Obamathamatics...charging one person less doesn't equate with taking money from someone else. A second grader could figure that out.
>>> The rich paid less tax than they should.
They already pay around 80% of the taxes, and completely cover the nut of the 40% who don't pay anything...who are you to say they should pay more? If you think people should pay more, then why don't you pay more? Go be "patriotic"...write a check to the IRS.
>>> The middle class footed the majority of the tax bill and that helped make the deficit huge.
More Obamathematics. Where do you guys get this stuff?
>>> And along with not promoting small businesses and not encouraging big business to re-invest in America, he helped slow the economy.
LOL! The economy has gown EVERY QUARTER under Bush. Things only started to take a downturn when the Dems took over Congress...coincidence? I think not. The Dems were also the instigators of the current economic "crisis," by pushing sub-prime mortgages and then protecting Fannie and Freddie from Republican regulation while they got rich paybacks...Dodd being #1 and Obama coming in a close second.
>>> So, you and Bush43 did not "cut taxes".
Bush didn't cut taxes? Then what the heck is Barry going on about? LOL!
>>> You stole a working person's money.
I guess only an Obama supporter could come to the conclusion that NOT giving someone a tip is the same thing as stealing from them. (where's that eye roll icon when you need it?)
>>> Where your "experiment" is flawed is that Obama only cuts taxes of WORKING people. People paying taxes. Not non-working people.
Really? The top 5% of Americans don't work? My oh my, how ever do they get all of that money that Barry wants to get his greedy little hands on? And I hate to break it to you AGAIN...but you're wrong...AGAIN. LOL! Obama AND Biden have specifically stated that they will provide "tax cuts"...LOL! sorry, but that's laughable...to "95% of Americans." I've posted several youtube links previously and Barry said the same thing in his O'Reilly interview...look it up.
>>> The man on the street that you "gave" $10 dollars? You gave him "welfare". Obama has a different plan to help that man on the street, because his tax cut plan would not help that man on the street.
Well that's pretty mean of Obama, isn't it? LOL!
>>> If that man was a veteran, Obama would make sure he was taken care of by VA. He wrote legislation to help homeless vets.
Oh, please...Obama voted to CUT funding for our troops IN A WAR.
>>> If that man was mentally ill, the local faith-based organizations that Obama supports might be able to help that man on the street.
It's nice that Obama supports programs that Bush initiated, even if he only did it to pander to the "religious right."
>>> Maybe, next time, you could petition the wealthy business owner to reinvest more profits into paying the wait staff more money...now THAT is what Obama's plan is about. Building the working people up. Not the class warfare you exhibited with your flawed "experiment". (sigh)
LOL! Wow, it's amazing how clueless the left really is. Have NONE of them ever run a business? Let me help you out with a little reality here...
Obama is going to 1) raise the taxes of the restaurant owner and 2) either force him to provide health insurance for the waitstaff or fine him. Bottom line, is that this restaurant owner just saw his cost of doing business go up.
Unfortunately, this restaurateur doesn't operate his business in a vacuum. He gets his supplies from other businesses who also saw their costs go up. These businesses cover the increase by raising their prices (and probably laying off staff).
Our restaurateur has now seen his costs go up significantly due to Obama's punitive tax increases and even more so as a result of the impact that those taxes had on associated businesses. The economy is poor, so he's also been losing customers, which is obviously affecting his bottom line. So what's a poor restaurateur to do?
He has no choice but to pay these costs. He'll raise prices, but only to the degree that he can remain competitive. The only other place he can cut costs is with his employees. He'll be forced to cut his waitstaff from ten to seven and push the remaining waitstaff to work harder to cover for the lost employees. Thanks Obama! Three more people on unemployment...but hey, they'll get their $500 welfare check!
>>> Just a suggestion...you might want to steer clear of that restaurant from now on. lol.
Not a problem. Obama drove it out of business.
LOL!
;-)
Imagine that.
