An Obama funny

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference -- just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

"Not necessary. I simply employed Obama's "fairness"principal and gave the "wealth" to the most "needy" individual in my proximity without the slightest inkling of the actual "reality" of the situation."

Ahem, I thought you didn't do any of this, you just copied and pasted this urban legend from some web site.

"They are really pathetic. McCain got away with everthing... adultery, corruption, and possibly even murder, . . ."

OK, I haven't heard about this, what "murder" are you talking about ???????

Good think you added the disclaimer or the fringe-dwellers would assume you drew the cartoon yourself. LOL!

>>> Its rather humorous how the Republicans like to pretend that concept of taxation is new. It isn't.

Really? I thought it was a recent Democrat invention. What were those crazy Sons of Liberty going on about?

>>> Americans have been paying taxes since they landed on these shores centuries ago.

Yeah...I think they were called Pilgrim taxes back then.

>>> The taxes are required to fund government projects (homeland security, infrastructure needs, health care, etc), fund Bush's two wars and yes assist those in our population who are in need.

Then why is Obama saying that he'll cut them for 95% of Americans? Sounds "un-patriotic."

>>> The people who are in the best position to contribute are those who are making the most.

You mean we shouldn't take the last two cents of the poor to pay for Obama's socialist schemes?

>>> The Bush/McCain tax plan of giving the rich a break so that the benefits might trickle down has NOT worked.

Darn that 20% economic growth!

>>> Those at the top accumulated their wealth, bought vacation homes abroad, invested in overseas markets and moved big businesses abroad.

Oh, crap! I wish they would have invested our our stock markets, bought cars here, or started businesses in America. Those crazy rich people. I guess that explains the HUGE loss of jobs and domestic investment over the past 8 years...but...oops...there hasn't been. Odd.

>>> The end result was massive layoffs and an increase in the national poverty rate.

Um...but didn't the problems start when the Dems took over Congress? Things was goin' good up 'til then.

>>> The Bush/McCain plan also levies higher taxes on the middle class.

Do they "plan also" those things? Sounds wild and reckless. Um...but isn't Bush retiring from public life? I wasn't aware that he was up for a third term. But I've heard McCain say that he wants to lower taxes across the board. It's odd that he'd leave the middle class out. Maybe it was a misprint in the wacko-left newsletter.

>>> It is foolhardy to expect a different result while continuing with the same failed tax policies.

I agree, which makes it all the more unfathomable that Obama is pushing a socialist agenda...when we've all seen how successful it was in the past,

>>> Under Obama's tax plan the wealthy gets taxed a bit more. Truth is that most won't even feel it.

It's nice that know how much concern you have for those who have earned their money...before you take it. I hear muggers have a conscience as well. Hmmm...I wonder if you'd miss money if people "poorer" than you took it and simply decided that you didn't need it?

>>> More truth, it is unlikely that they will adjust their lifestyles because of the two odd cents more that they will be required to pay the government.

Hmmm...seems a LOT of people "adjusted their lifestyles" when gas increased a couple of cents. I wonder how they'd react if their COL was increased 3-5% across the board?

>>> They may just become more creative in ways to hide their wealth. Paying taxes IS patriotic. All of those "real Americans" out there should know that.

Then I wonder why so many liberals are so "un-patriotic?" LOL!

>>> I am posting a link to a message that Sopal posted just over a month ago that demonstrates the effect of the two tax proposals.

Thanks...but I reject class warfare out of hand. IF you want more...earn it.

((((Um...so what you're really saying is that if businesses conduct business the way Obama, who's never run a business, thinks they should conduct business, then he'll promise them a tax cut that he won't deliver on.))))))

Sarah Palin ran a business...into the ground. Bush43 ran several businesses....into the ground. Cheney ran Haliburton...several of our soldiers have died from electricution because the shoddy wiring near the showers was done by Haliburton. Get the picture?
