Maybe someone should remind then it's not nice to name-call.

You make it sound like they been working every day for years. But in reality just maybe two months...LOL
Very true, yet, in those same two months, people who are reading about her in the paper from thousands of miles away swear she'd be a great leader...hmmm....
Thank you, nicole_ftm for my siggy!

Obviously "shallow" is in the eye of the beholder. I've often seen that jealousy argument used when someone has no real leg to stand on (and "seething" jealousy at that ;o)
Speaking for myself, I feel no jealousy whatsoever. There are folks out there who can spark some envy in me....but she's certainly not one of them.
Did it ever occur to you that some of Palin's critics may be doing so because they want what they feel is best for America and think that she's unfit for the position? Also, did the thought cross your mind that some of these people may even like Palin under different circumstances, admire the things she has accomplished but still not want to see her as VP to the oldest candidate in history?
For example, I wonder what "personal failings" Colin Powell was compensating for (and what it was about Palin that caused him to seethe with jealousy) sparking his decision to endorse Obama instead of the McCain/Palin ticket.

Well I actually haven't heard/read those other people's statements and their rationales but I did read Colin Powell's. He had a few nice things to say about Palin but it was John McCain's decision to choose her that he questioned.
Powell:
"And I was also concerned at the selection of Governor Palin. She’s a very distinguished woman, and she’s to be admired; but at the same time, now that we have had a chance to watch her for some seven weeks, I don’t believe she’s ready to be president of the United States, which is the job of the vice president. And so that raised some question in my mind as to the judgment that Senator McCain made."
---snip
"Now, I understand what politics is all about. I know how you can go after one another, and that’s good. But I think this goes too far. And I think it has made the McCain campaign look a little narrow. It’s not what the American people are looking for. And I look at these kinds of approaches to the campaign and they trouble me. And the party has moved even further to the right, and Governor Palin has indicated a further rightward shift. "

There's folks with a reasonable and moderate balance of conservative values and those way out on the fringe at the extreme end of the equation. These are the ones who are most enamored with Palin.

Oh gasp! Moderate conservatives in the Republican Party!!! You realize that's a relief to a LOT of people - particualrly after the bush disaster....(including quite a few very patriotic and accomplished Republicans). And as for those who have a few liberal leanings....
There's also folks with a reasonable and moderate balance of liberal values and those way out on the fringe at the extreme end of the equation.

I think you'd better check with the ones who gave you that shot. It appears that someone made a mistake and accidentally gave you a full strength dose (as opposed to the weakened version generally used in the process of inoculation ;o).

I wonder if she can get "Joe the Plumber" on her staff. She's going to need all the advisers she can get.
