I hope you understand that socialism is an economic system and democracy is a system of government. A socialist society can be democratic.

So, I assume then you are either home schooling your children or paying for them to attend private school, and that if they go to college they'll attend a private college/university and not apply for any financial aid nor student loans.

The point is that pure socialism, like pure capitalism, doesn't work in the real world. We need a balance of both.

-Hmm, in the state of Georgia a whole lot of kids get to go to college for free. A nice little socialist program in the deep blue south.

It's called the Hope Scholarship, and it is given to students who graduate high school in Georgia with a 3.0 or better and attend a public college in the state. The only requirement aside from that is they maintain a 3.0 average in college-

Unless she pay no Federal, state, or local taxes she is paying for public education, regardless of whether she utilizes it or not.

I believe those who utilize the Hope scholarships are in debt to those who play the Georgia lottery. But your point is valid ... it isn't free, and not everyone gets it.
