economy economy economy economy. That's what this election is about.

This election is a referendum on Bush and the economy. It's about Bush, with the full backing of McCain on his tax cut, big spending budgets, expensive war in Iraq and economic policy.

So if you think things are great and that after 8 years we've got a strong economy to show for Bush and McCain's economic policy, go ahead and vote for McCain and the Republicans.

If you are like the rest of us you know what happened. Bush, McCain and the Republicans deregulated us into the worst economic mess since the Great Depression. It was a giant, free-for-all spending spree for the super rich while everyone else, including the Republican "regulators", watched. Now everyone else is paying the price for the greed and incompetence that the Republicans fostered.

So go ahead and vote Republican and reward them if you are happy with their job. Or go ahead and make lots of excuses for them if you like. Complain about all the things that happened to them rather than holding them accountable for steering our ship. You know these Republicans are out there in the life boats watching everyone else in the boat go down.

Or vote for Obama and the Democrats if you want to bring back balance, competence and fairness to our government and our society.

>>> What really matters is that McCain does NOT understand the economy, and so he would be an even less effective POTUS than anticipated. I know Mitt is fuming right now.

LOL! When did Barry magically acquire his "expertise" on the economy? I guess it was the same place he magically acquired his "expertise" on foreign policy...or anything else for that matter.

Obama helped make the mess. Why do you think he got so much money from Raines?

This was not deregulation, it's a SEC rule change.

"I'll say that FDR was a poor president in many ways, and many "fops" will say the same thing."

First, you are criticizing a President who is widely accepted as being among our top 3 Presidents ever. FDR got us through the Great Depression and World War II.

Second, of course the Fox-Republican officials and politicians will trash FDR. I would expect nothing less than the fops. That's what they always do. Trash people and make stuff up for partisan purposes. It's country last for them.

Hey Republicans, this election is about the economy. How come you don't want to talk about the economy? Could it have something to do with how Bush and McCain's deregulated us into the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression?

And one Republican poster just trashed FDR who got us out of that economic crisis. Yes, he trashed FDR who brought us Social Security and other key programs to protect us in times of crisis. He trashed FDR who led us to victory in World War II.

Any comment Republicans? Because I don't think this is looking very good for you all. But feel free to keep harping on Obama's aunt or whatever latest distraction you can find.

SSSSSsssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh. Maybe if we are all very quiet, nobody will notice how Bush with the full support of John McCain deregulated us into the worst economic crisis in 70s years since the Great Depression.

Nobody must mention the economy. We must all talk about Obama's long lost aunt and how Obama is a redistributionatorist or some such nonsense. Meanwhile in the midst of the breakdown McCain told us the fundamentals of the economy are fine, and then when he realized what a fool he was he looked even dumber by telling us that by "fundamentals" he meant the American worker.

SSSSSSSSssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh . . . .

The roar of Republican silence here speaks volumes.

I agree with you. Obama will have to clean up this awful mess that the GOP has left, but he is
