There are real and legal consequences to making a promise to a supplier that you'd buy a product and then later changing your mind. BTW. So that was a poor analogy.

I have actually rethought this whole thread. I think it shows lack of character that he broke his promise and shows selfishness and unwillingness to work with others. It is especially troublesome in something of this nature,

Actualy that is untrue. If you make a promise and someone relies on that promise, in the commercial setting, there are consequences.

He pledged, during the primaries, that he would accept public financing if the Republican did. He also said that he would sit down with John McCain and discuss public financing.
