I missed it due to a graduate class :( so I wondered if anyone else had seen it. I was surprised not to see anything posted here about it. If you did watch it what did you think? Good? Bad? Valuable info? Waste of time? Are you planning to watch McCain later tonight?

As long as you look at both the same way.

Subprimes basically set a fixed rate for 2 years or so (depending on terms) and then hit a variable rate that can go up.

>>> Approval rating is equal to popularity?

Yes...people who don't approve of you don't tend to like you.

>>> 80% of less than 700,000 people is pretty good.

It is, but the sum isn't as important as the "approval." That means that her policies are making the people happy. that's a pretty good thing to say about a leader.

>>> Thank you for finally answering the question.

All ya had to do was ask.

>>> About the term "maverick"...LOL...those mavericky deeds do not quite measure up to what she makes them out to be. Oh...standard politician position to embellish.

Actually, they do. Her record is distinguished by bi-partisan behavior not commonly found in your "traditional" politician...that's what makes the appellation applicable.

Anywho, My point was simply this, people say she is so popular but fail to state IN HER OWN HOME STATE. They say it as if it was a broader area.

Actually, it is in a broader area, but her home state is where it's most significant because that's where it's based on her effectiveness as a governor.

>>> I would hope her approval rating would be "high" with only 700,000 people in her state.

Why is the number significant?

No I missed it. But I have seen his other commercials and they are probably all the same.

I tell you if he is not elected Pres. he should go to Harvard Univ. and teach marketing 101 "How to win by manipulating the emotions of the masses". I would be willing to pay $50K for that class and if I applied that to my business I guarantee you I'll be a millionaire in 2years.

I will...reality is like that.

>>> Really? Ok...I looked it up myself because I honestly didn't relate the two things together. I view popular as "well-known"...someone can be popular and not liked/not appoved of.

Hitler is well known, but not terribly popular. Famous is "well known." Popular is "well liked."

>>> Britney Spears is Popular yet I do not "Approve" of her.......same with 50 cent.

You place a lot of stock in YOUR "approval."

>>> The number is significant because, the more people you have the harder it is to get a high approval rating. My city alone is bigger than her entire state. If she was the Gov of TX or CA or a smaller state, then 80% would really be fantastic. But 700,000...eh not so much.

You're mistaken. It's based on performance, not population.

>>> But that is just my assessment. I know other people coule care less about that.

I'm sure there are millions who hang on your every word.

The facts are what they are, whether they make you feel good or not.
