The International Republican Institute, that McCain chairs, hired Khalidi's organization, because of it's Palestinian ties, to conduct opinion polls in Gaza and the West Bank. Hardly the same as being a long-time personal friend of Khalidi.
This is the first I hear of this story, but tell me something here, why would it be bad to talk to a Palestinian who is a researcher and professor? Don't we want to solve the conflict in Palestine?
