Oh, but it's nice to "spice things up" a bit, don't you think? If someone wins the lottery, i'm pretty sure they check to see if they owe money to anybody, ex, back taxes, child support, whatever. I'm sure that has to be satisfied before the first check is cut. Joe the Plumber asked for this, he brought it on himself. People have a right to question, since it didn't end with his filmed question to Obama, McCain kept the ball rolling, McCain pick JOE out, to use him as a campaign tool, Really now, was Joe the Plumber the ONLY one to ask a question? I think not.Joe has become "full of himself." It's pathetic.

Any reasonable person would understand that State agencies do not routinely check the background of persons mentioned in the news (an expception might be for lottery winners before the state pays out the winnings).

So these people checked his records for whatever reason, why was any of it made public. Did it say why the police dept. allowed a reporter look at it. I'm just confused why we should care about any part of his past, he is after all just a private citizen who ask a question.

<>Joe the Plumber asked for this, he brought it on himself. <>

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying that questioning a politician can be a reason to have your past, dirty laundry and all, publicly aired. That would make me think twice about questioning my leader, wouldn't it
