Obama spent a half hour on what--did he mention even ONE thing he has actually done?

Geesh, you forgot he's also the Messiah.

He doesn't reach across the aisle, he votes with his party.

Well, then I guess he'll just have to reap the whirlwind of disapproval that comes as a result of such a glaring lack, in the form of not receiving the votes of GoOPers who already weren't going to vote for him.

Boo freaking hoo, honestly. Raise five million dollars or so, and I'm certain the profit-driven networks will allow you to air your own prime-time special which goes into great detail about what Obama HASN'T accomplished. Until then, this is just sour grapes.

Presidential campaigns - at this stage - are more about what you WILL do than about what you HAVE done. We've had an unprecedented (since the thirties) meltdown in the financial markets that is affecting the entire globe....that's why stale old nasty character attacks about what even John McCain describes as "washed-up sixties radicals" aren't working, and why the whine of "what has he DONE" (even as it's been answered by things like "worked with Dick Lugar to secure loose nukes" has answered it) are also still not effectively moving votes.

You're kidding, right?

I didn't hear anyone complaining about the fact that they SPENT the money in that particular way....only that it was vastly amusing that someone who claims to be a scrappy working class hero/populist who's against the big-money, entrenched ways of official Washington didn't bat an eye when it came to accepting more in clothes than most Americans make in TWO years.

I seriously doubt that. Obama's informercial was on something like seven different major outlets. I find it difficult to believe that the O'Reilly factor, alone, beat the combined ratings total of all those outlets which were showing Obama's half hour.

First of all I wasn't talking about the cause of the current economic mess the economy was bad even before then. The economy is more than just taxes. The question is why were they able to misuse the credit it was becasue of deregulation. who is the candidate that before the big collapse last month consistently called himself a deregulator? Yes it was Mccain he fought for deregulation for 20 years. Funny before everything started to collapse all he could talk about was deregulation then after the collapse he said there should be more regulation. I'm not saying it was all McCain's fault I think all of government is to blame for what happened but make no mistake deregulation allowed this to happen.

You still have not answered my question so I will ask a third time how will John McCain's economic plan be different from Bush's plan? What will change?

There is a VERY good reason for this:

If Obama allegedly fought so hard for "campaign finance disclosure," then why doesn't he disclose where his campaign finances are coming from?

If I recall, Bush isn't on the ballot, choices are McCain or Obama.

I preferred Huckabee over McCain anyway. But that doesn't matter either now.

Yes I know Bush isn't running but the fact is the economy is struggling right now and it hasn't been good for a long time. Now McCain has voted with Bush 90% of the time now if McCain is not going to change the current policies how are we going to get better. The middle class is struggling Bush has done nothing to help them and neither will McCain. The reason I ask what he will do different is that something needs to change. If McCain is not going to change Bush's policies than how is this going to get better? No Bush isn't on the ballot this time but his failed policies are they are McCain's policies as well. Again unless you can answer the question and tell me how he is going to be different from Bush.
