Somehow, in Sarah Palin's brain, it's a threat to the First Amendment when newspapers criticize her negative attacks on Barack Obama.

Did you just accuse him of being sexist?
Good point.
<>
Not exactly. Just trying to get him to think about whether he'd call a male VP candidate, who speaks of the rights under the first amendment the way Palin did, "pretty bright". Actually, I think quite a few men, subconsciously, give SP more credit than she deserves simply because she's attractive. Don't you think the same goes for many women's view of Arnold, especially when he was younger?
It's subconscious sexism, just like some experience subconscious racism.

That was....good.
So, both sexism and too lacking in self-awareness to recognize it?
But I get off without being considered sexist for calling her pretty bright because I'm a woman?
Honestly?
Not sure what your point is here, but in a post after the one you responded to I elucidated on my meaning.

I understand you're not a bad guy--heck you're on our side.
I'm actually thinking back to Dan Quayle. Was he any worse than SP? He took an awful lot of flack and I think if you put SP's brain in DQ's body, people would react exactly as they did to DQ. I don't think anyone called him "pretty bright."
