Somehow, in Sarah Palin's brain, it's a threat to the First Amendment when newspapers criticize her negative attacks on Barack Obama.

>>> I think she is really pretty bright -- but horribly poorly educated and almost wilfully unknowledgable about the institutions and government she supposedly wants to represent.
I feel the same way about Obama.
Yeah, actually people did, around me anyway. The reasoning being that he could not be as much of an idiot as he appeared, given how far he had gotten. Oh, and plenty of ladies thought Quayle was a looker, seriously.
Same argument is made for Bush, and to me Bush is the Palin3.0. The man is uneducated (yes, I know he went to Yale and Harvard, but it seems to have had close to no effect), lacks literacy (as must Palin if the stuff in OP is what she takes from reading the first amendment), lacks intellectual curiosity, lacks reasoning skills and is big on the smiling and the "aw shucks". But it does take some sort of slyness/cunning/smarts to get there in the first place.
"And how weak for her to blame everyone but herself.... "
She is not alone. During the past 8 years from the POTUS down, the whole bunch of Fox-Republican officials and politicians has abdicated responsibilities for all their failures. The fops are experts at passing off blame, calling the kettle black, throwing stones from glass houses etc.
And the worst kind of ignorance is 'willful' ignorance, because it is incurable.
One of the most profound statements I've seen posted on this board.
The unsettling part is not only is that an astute observation on Palin but on what is shaping up to be a remarkable amount of the voting population.

Thank you for your input. Yes he does play an instrument - electric guitar. He mostly plays classic rock but also some indie music. He recently met John Mayer when John visited his college and was able to be in a very small, 12 people, clinic on songwriting with him. So he is really excited. He has written quite a bit and performs locally when he is home. He has been musically driven since he was a toddler so I hope he can make it in the music industry, otherwise I can't imagine what he would do.
Here is his new band at school, he has a different band and a different sound at home.

I couldn't hear your clip - I am missing something on my laptop I guess. I'll try it at school on Monday.
