Obama's aunt, the one he mentions in his memoirs, is living illegally in the United States in PUBLIC HOUSING!

That Senator is not living in public housing, and he has no obligation to turn in his aunt.

I've read novels and history involving communist states. One common theme is turning in friends and relatives to authorities. Do we really wish to live like this?

Are you one who calls Obama a socialist?

Just wondering.

I don't expect that of your husband, and hope others would not. Turning on friends and family does not create a nice society. We aren't talking about anything other than living here, and how she goes about that is her business, not her nephews.

her dh would have no choice due to the ethics of his job but to turn in anyone participating in something illegal.

I don't think that extends to supposition of living in housing illegally. What if there are in fact legal documents, or a valid visa?

This story on Obama is such a reach, and really wish this nation would be as interested in issues as it is in cutting down each candidate.

I'll add this: if Obama wins, it makes sense to offer any in his family living outside this country legal entry, for very practical reasons.

I'm confused here.... when I tourist-travel the USA, I am obliged to mention (detailed) the address I can be reached. The person living at the mentioned address, is held

I don't know - there are of ethics involved (speaking of her dh's job, not obama's) ... but the fact she has had the deportation papers for 4 years and receives public assistance leads to me think one of 2 things; 1. it's an ongoing case that is currently active in seeking a legal resolution or 2.

Many of us Republicans are tired of supporting illegal immigrants. You find it acceptable that BO can't step up and sponsor his own aunt, but finds it acceptable for the taxpayer to do so? What happened to spreading the wealth and not being selfish?
