Obama's aunt, the one he mentions in his memoirs, is living illegally in the United States in PUBLIC HOUSING!

Another tidbit:

I see. 'Securing the border' means drafting two million people and assigning them to duty stations across the length of our borders, not to mention having planes and ships buzzing our shores.
Shall we toss democracy to the wind because we are so worried over someone planting a bomb we will bankrupt the nation to try and forestall it from occurring?
America's real defence is in its relations with other countries and other peoples. It is the real reason why these things happen, and our policies need to change.
The Iraq war has not helped in that regard, it has made things so much worse. We could learn a lot from Canada on how to interact with the world.

>>Well ced you are dead wrong and it is 100% true. If my DH knew about someone in his family committing welfare fraud, and violating immigration laws he would indeed be FIRED. That is a fact, and whether you believe it or not is not the point.<<
A few points:
1. Perhaps your "DH" belongs to a particularly weak union, but where I live, there is a long process before you can simply fire a police officer.
2. There are laws in many places that public employees cannot inquire about someone's immigration status, cannot investigate, stop, or interrogate a person based solely on the suspicion that they are not authorized to be in this country, etc. So your "DH" could possibly violating laws or policy by reporting her.
3. People's immigration status is not generally public information. If our "DH" had a Kenyan half aunt (with a different last name, no less) living halfway across the country who had had her petition for asylum rejected by a judge and she was living in section 8 housing, would you expect that information ever to become public?

I have a friend that used to work in public housing.
If you do the math, not really. The cost of total enforcement is huge.
Why do illegals come here? America tapped the resources of their countries for 200 years, paying virtually nothing for the raw materials... and we built great wealth in this way.
Now the discrepancy exists, and they are like you, me, or anyone... trying to build a better life for their families. If you really wish to end the march northward, form regional approaches to the issue, which will include helping create jobs for them at home.
This mentality of walls and guards and such addresses symptoms, not the underlying issues.
I would guess that most immigrants, whether illegal or otherwise, are very hard working. Address the issue regionally, address it with US employers.
Those already here should be given a means of converting to a path

My DH doesn't even know where his own father lives, let alone half brothers and sisters.
God almighty! What the hell else don't we know about this guy?
He's vindictive, kick's the press off his plane that didn't endorse him, right after the Biden interview where he froze out the TV station after tough questions.
I would say the same to you.
We arent talking about my DH.
