According to you I must be dense too, because I still don't understand how Obama's plan will help anyone, much less the middle class. Obama says he will grow the economy from the bottom up. Really? How does that work? Will the lower class create jobs? Will they hire and provide benefits? Obama also says he will raise taxes. I've asked a hundred times and I've never been given an answer here at Ivillage, but I'll ask again. When in our history has raising taxes helped an ailing economy? Obama himself has said that his policies will cause electricity rates to skyrocket (his words). How will that help the economy? How will that help the lower or middle classes? Obama has now said that his policies will bankrupt the coal industry. How will this help Ray, the electrician? That's my husband. He works at a coal power plant, and Obama is now threatening his job. And, redistributing the wealth, how does that help the middle class? If anything it encourages the middle class to stay where we are. We sure wouldn't want to succeed "too" much because we would be taxed to oblivion. Wait, but where does middle class start? Is it $250,000 as has been said, or maybe $150,000 like Biden said, or maybe its $120,000 like Gov. Richardson said. Chances are that its a bit lower than that in the end. Remember Clinton who campaigned on a middle class tax cut? Well we never got it. In fact we received a tax increase.
I saw a blurb on TV with Joe, and it showed him stating he would be better off with Obama's plan. LOL, McCain must be paying him a pretty penny to show up at the rallies! I don't understand how people can be so gullible, as to think Joe was just a coincidence. He was a plant. He even said he had been told what to ask.

It is not an individual that take office, it is a political party. Neither Obama nor McCain will be flying solo in the Presidency,

"since we are going there I will be happy to join in"????
Absolutely no experience toward being President.
When Obama wins, we will start getting this country back on track. :-)
"so what's wrong with an Obama supporter giving it right back?"
I don't know, but I was raised and I raise my children the same, that two wrongs don't make a right.
I think that the theory is that wealthy people if given more wealth
