So, after the $700 billion bailout bill, you would like to see a spending increase? Well, if Obama is president then you will see a spending increase and the country will see a tax increase as well.
>Are you denying that there are some out there that will pay up to 39% of their paycheck to federal taxes<
If the top income tax rate is 39%, it doesn't mean that a person would pay 39% of their entire income at that rate but only 39% of that portion that is above X level. In other words, it would average out to be less of that individual's total income. So yes, I am denying that a person would pay 39% of their paycheck to federal income tax, because that 39% would not be applicable to the person's entire income.
Someone would have to make an AWFULLY large amount of money per year for that overall percentage to approach 39%. Would you like for me to give you the mathematic progression on that?
Places go out of business also because the Middle class can't afford to buy anything extra except essentials. It will continue if the Middle Class stays downtrodden. But let McCain camp keep up their flaming lies. Anything to win, no matter how dishonest it is.
In the couple of days right after he confronted Obama, he was on TV. He admitted he had been approached by some of McCain's people, interviewed, then instructed on what he should ask and do. At that same interview, he also admitted he would do better under Obama's plan. McCain told him during the debate, he would get his own company. It appears he'll be able to pay for it, out of what he is being paid to show up at rallies. He is also doing his own commercials and rallies. He's been promised help in launching a career as a country & western singer also.

plus it's not just income tax. obama has also hinted at raising the ss taxes as well...

Didn't say that.

So did we see a spending increase under Reagan, coupled with a tax decrease. Same under G.W. Bush. Which is more responsible?

McCain also proposes spending increases on top of his negative balance he will leave the country if he goes through with his tax cuts for the rich.

There's good smooth (confident, articulate etc....) and then there's not so good smooth (all style but no substance).
From what I've seen, Obama seems to have both style and substance.
