We don't deify McCain...but then we don't have to. We have a candidate who can stand on his record and experience...there's no need to invent qualifications for him (or ignore his inexperience, and who he really is) like the Obamaniacs have had to do for their Obamessiah.
How many more lives must we loose in this war? McCain keeps talking about winning that war, but what does winning mean? Iraq never posed threat to us, and there
5 years is long enough, and unfortunately I see more young men dying for a lost cause. I agree that Saddam was a horrible dictator, but to stay there for 10 years is absurd to me when our country is struggling economically. It is not fair for our troops to be over there and die for Iraqi people. Iraqi people should fix their government, and they cannot expect us to fix it for them.
Bush should have listened to world leaders and not have gone into Iraq in the first place. But since it's too late to talk about that, we should focus on solution and getting our troops back home. What is so wrong about getting them home? If we stay there for another 5 years or longer, we are not going to be in a better place over there. Iraqi people need to rebuild their government, and we need to fix ours.
>>> Again...There is a Pro and a Con for both McCain and Obama in this matter.
No there's not...at least not on an intellectually honest level.
>>> McCain's military experience doesn't automatically mean he can handle decisions to keep us OUT of another war.
True...but, as history has shown, being "out of a war" might not be the answer that best serves the nation or it's interests. A man of experience and knowledge will best be able to determine the proper course of action. A man of inexperience can only depend on the conflicting advice of others and then choose a course of action based on his "instincts." which are disconnected and unrelated to the situation. I'm really not looking for a President who decides to go to war on the flip of a coin.
>>> Who is inventing qualifications for Obama?
Since he has none, that distinction falls on his supporters.
>>> If there are Obamaniacs then they are Palinmaniacs. If Obama is called the Obamessiah then Palin must be called the Palinmessiah.
Well, I can't account for the enthusiasm of Palin's supporters, but they're certainly supporting someone with credentials, experience and a record...unlike the Obamaniacs.

Greatly Missed, Never Ever Forgotten
