For President of these United States of America, George W. Bush:

"W - Thank You."

You have led and are still leading our nation very well, indeed.

I think people have forgotten about Sept 11 and how he handled it.

Obama will have to prove himself if he's elected as POTUS. Whether it's McCain or Obama, either will have a helluva mess to clean up after a world-class shmuck. NOTHING Obama has done compares with the mayhem Bush has wreaked on the nation or the world, so your characterization of "new rubbish" just doesn't have much heft.

Are you keeping count of how many enterprises and individuals have filed for bankruptcy in the past year? Looks pretty silly to warn of a possible wave when we've seen a veritable tsunami of foreclosures and companies gone bust. But maybe you intended a joke.

Yes, that sums up what happened very well. On 9/12, the PNAC guys and their allies in the administration were the only people with a clear strategy and a clear goal. Neither the strategy nor the goal had anything to do with preventing or fighting terror, but nobody else had any ready plan like that. It turned into a spectacularly successful policy hijack. The policy itself, however, has failed equally spectacularly.

Ah, one of those 25 or is it 28%'s I've heard about, but never really believed they were there.

Send him a card, but do it quickly before the end of January.
