An independent review of the case (read that no political axes to grind) has found that Sarah Palin did NOT violate any ethics laws or any other laws in the case involving her brother in law and the firing of the Public Service Commissioner.

I'd say I hate to say I told you so, but I don't.

Because it IS personal for many. The posts from some of the detractors of Sarah Palin go way beyond observations. There is real hatred expressed. Sometimes it is hard to determine whether it is hatred of her in particular, or of all women, because the attacks go way beyond what her foibles may be, into even hate filled gender specific name calling. There is dogged determination to undermine her, regardless of any facts or reason.

The same goes for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. There is real hatred generated against these people. To me it seems so extreme it is sometimes pathological.

Like I said to another poster, if Caribou Barbie wants to be considered something more than that, she needs to step up and act like more than that.

Not only did this trooper NOT get a DUI when found driving drunk with an open container of alcohol in his car - WHICH IS CLEARLY AND ABUSE OF POWER - an ordinary citizen WOULD have gotten a DUI AND had to suffer consequences.... HE ALSO threatened to KILL Palin's father with his state issued gun!

Palin did not appoint these members and she cannot fire them. They were appointed by the previous governor, the one she defeated. It is a matter of law that the Personnel Board has jurisdiction over this matter. She behaved appropriately in this regard.

I am very sorry, the case has nothing to do with whether the officer should have been fired or not, but whether Governor Palin used her influence to bring about his firing.

If you could look past your hatred you would see that she is a very strong and powerful woman. You better get used to her, because she isn't going away. Even if she isn't elected V.P. today, she will be a future leader in this country.

( And I don't think your name calling is hurting her feelings at all, she is too strong for that.)
