OK, if obama does get elected, and he does do a better job than I expect and holds up to his promises, I will be the first to admit I was wrong BUT if he ends up doing a horrible job and his promises start to fade away with the lack of change, how many of you are willing to stand up and admit you were wrong?

If Obama wins and does better than I expect I'll gladly admit I am wrong ... I'll WANT to be wrong and yes I am woman enough to admit it when I am wrong,

Of course I would be able to admit I was wrong. But, how many have been able to admit they were wrong about BUSH?

Really....no matter who wins they are walking into a huge mess to fix & a "quick fix" is not going to happen.

I guess it all depends on your perspective. I did quite well under Bush, so I guess as long as I don't do worse under Obama, I would have to say he is doing a fine job. On the other hand, someone who could have higher expectations of him, could do poorly and think he is doing a horrible job and be disappointed in voting for him. My stakes are that as long as I don't do worse, then he would be doing a fine job.

No doubt. For that reason, unless a fix is made and with it being a reasonable fix, we may be looking at a one term president, regardless of who gets elected.

If he does what he says he is going to do, then I will consider it a job well done.

If, as the OP mentioned, he does next to nothing, puts in little effort, and does not give us some much needed change,

Well....I'm not American obviously, so the things I've disliked about bush mainly has to do with disastrous foreign policy and a breath-taking

I agree, it will be one of the most difficult situations an incoming president has ever had to face....A disastrous and expensive war, an economy in shambles, a worldwide reputation that has rarely (if ever)

>>Really....no matter who wins they are walking into a huge mess to fix & a "quick fix" is not going to happen. If things go from worse to worse after whoever wins I can't say I'm ready to place the blame on the new president - it's not going to be quick & easy, that's for sure.<<

ITA. I am sure that it will take a long time for this mess to be cleaned up (remember it's been 8 years in the making) We actually don't know how bad things are yet in regards to the economy and the war in Iraq. Reprecussions can still come in the coming years. But in response to the question in the thread: I know I will be able to say I'm wrong. I voted for Hilary in the primaries. (I told you so! lol ;))I do hope that whoever wins will do the right thing for this country, after all, they live here too.
