Nope. But my concern isn't his supposed associates, its his voting record. Anyone who votes 'present' instead of 'yes' or 'no' as often as he does can't earn my respect. He says the right things and he looks good doing it (and Americans almost always vote for the taller, better looking guy) but what he DOES is dodge ever real issue that might come back on him later.
I think Ayers should have said, when asked by reporters as he left the polling place who he voted for, that he voted for McCain (even if he didn't) just to give the Republicans a conniption.
Are people going to vote for a candidate who has KKK's voting for? How about other self-professed extreme racists (white or black)? How about people who were NOT convicted of a crime? Let's see, how about along with people who are ignorant to think that just because someone else voted for a person that I shouldn't? My vote is my vote!
There are more than 2 candidates. I'd like to see third party candidates get enough votes so that next time around they'd get more support and news coverage. We need more options!
ohearto, thank you so much for the JTP update. I am still waiting for a link to see Bill Ayers voting but I think we have a better chance of seeing JTP!
Yes I did vote for the same candidate as Ayers. Then I continued on to my volunteering commitment as a poll watcher. I drove around my rural county for several hours checking in at various polling places and reporting back the numbers on machine malfunctions as well as voter tally's - how many democrat, republican, and independent. Pretty non-threatening I thought since I went out of my way to be pleasant even though I was met with quite a bit of rudeness in several locations.
Ironically the only places where people were rude to me were the more out of the way locations that also had larger republican turnout. I don't know what that means but it was an interesting coincidence. In the last, and most isolated, location, as I was getting out of my car - which has a new Obama bumper sticker on it since my last one was ripped off, a mother and daughter were coming out of the VFW hall where they had just voted. The girl pointed to my bumper sticker and made a rude comment and then actually spit at me. I was shocked to say the least and looked at the mother to see her reaction - she just said 'we don't want nobama here'. I just laughed and said 'real patriotic daughter you have there' and went on with my job. Later I was told I should have called the police. Frankly it didn't even occur to me, I just figured they are probably in for a world of hurt as they watch the returns tonight. But I can guarantee that they will see me doing the same job at the same location next election as well.
"But to answer you question I proudly voted for Obama, the same person Colin Powell, Bill Clinton, Madeline Albright and countless other respected current and former officials."

How do you know that Ayers voted for Obama?

Yes, I did.
You have to be kidding, right?
