Are you aware that the "present" votes Obama had while in the state senate represent less that 3 percent of all of his votes? It really should be a non issue.

Everything but the kitchen sink has been thrown at Obama on here - I expect that will be too before the day is out....

I am sorry to hear anyone would be rude or disrespectful to the voters, or trusted volunteers working at the poles.

You know I never listened to the Dixie Chicks until that incident. Then I bought their album in support of their First Amendment right to freely express their opinions. I also bought that album when it came out - that is my favorite song!

Great point. What has been his defense of so many "present" votes? Or has he even been asked? Probably not...

His absents and 'present' votes are equal to his actual votes. Check it out yourself:

Voting present and not being at a vote are not the same thing. You can only vote present in the state senate and he did vote that way 130 times out of 4000 votes. Not being at a vote was probably becasue he was running for president and wasn't there and by the way McCain missed those votes as well.

This explains what "present" votes mean, particular in regard to Obama.
