Obama promised universal health care? When did THAT happen?

Conservative "scare tactics"! What would those greedy ins companies do if they couldn't continue to charge an arm and a leg!

McCain has consistently worked to clean up corruption, both in DC and on Wall Street.

Unfortunately with he and his running mates scorched earth campaigning tactics - doubt there will be many hands reaching out to him from the other side....

I've always wondered why your system includes insurance companies to begin with. Healthcare would be much less expensive without a "for profit" layer! :)

I think it's great when people can discuss dissenting views, but I've seen so much blatant misinformation during this campaign - it's frightening.

Good luck to you all! I know I'll be watching the returns tonight.

You do get that most of us have already voted don't you? It's a little late to try to sway our votes with scare tactics. But if that helps you accept he inevitable have at it. We have been dealing with this for a long time and it hasn't swayed us yet - it does provide a chuckle from time to time however.

As to Palin's 'expert' credentials in regards to energy - there are some who would dispute that particular claim.

Edited to add energy information.

The fact that Dr's have to pay soooo very much in Malpractice ins is also part of the reason that health care costs have skyrocketed. People are sue happy. I can see if the Dr. is totally negligent, but in many cases the ptient neglects to tell the Dr. important information so they could better diagnose their problem. Yes, the "for profit ins" companies are a BIG problem!
