Obama Wins Pennsylvania, Networks Say
By Greg Sargent - November 4, 2008, 8:00PM

MSNBC and ABC call McCain's "last stand" state for Obama.

That's a very early call, suggesting a big, big win.

More soon.

Late Update: The exit polls suggest that Obama won solid victories among key groups: He won among voters with only a high-school education, among Catholics, decisively among independents, among men, white women, among whites making under $50,000, and among voters of all age groups, including 65 or over. http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/11/obama_wins_pennsylvania_networ.php

Yep, hoping me we get some good representation finally. This election is really only a starting a point. We have to stay on our political class and keep them working for us.

Me too. The last seven years have been excruciating. I'm looking forward to the reset.

"We have to stay on our political class and keep them working for us."

You are dead on. This is not ending now. If this ever ends for us, we lose again. We've seen what can happen when we don't pay enough attention to our government.

And we've got to keep the focus on Republicans. As America is showing they are well aware, the Republican politicians are a complete and total mess. They have descended from the Goldwater Republicans into the fops, the Fox-Republican officials and politicians who will do and say anything to benefit themselves.

So few of the fop silver-spooners ever fought for America (McCain is actually an exception, but he let the Bush people take over his campaign), either at war or in real public service as an organizer or similar role. As our economy imploded, the fops were totally detached. Even McCain declared the fundamentals of our economy are sound just a few weeks ago.

We have to help the Republicans reform themselves. I hope the Republicans don't disintegrate as a party. Having at least two viable parties works well for America.

Yeah, I think it's important to remember that we're just finally throwing out the worst of the kleptocrats. We still have a long way to go with the Democrats.

I partially agree. I actually think it's time to shift our focus

i just don't understand how they can say that at 8PM when the polls just closed. i know for a fact that in my township they are still counting the absentee ballots by hand !! when i left the polling place they said they would be there untilclose to midnight tallying votes. hmmm....i ownder if any of the votes in my township will count.

this is why i have hated elections & the way they call winners so early.

I think it's probably such an overwhelming Obama victory that they feel comfortable calling it.
