Minnesota Will Show Any Voting Tricks

A recount is coming in the Franken Coleman Senate race in Minnesota. This may be the window that Florida never was in 2000 because there was never a statewide recount and Ohio never was in 2004 because Kerry did not pursue a statewide recount.

Let's dig into this America. Let's see what's really going on with our voting system. Republicans say the Democrats are manipulating the system and the Democrats say the reverse is true. Let's see what is really going on here with the vote. Unfortunately this will not touch voter registration as much, but at least it will touch the voting process.

As for registration, it's time we allow all Americans to vote without needless paperwork. If a citizen can get a drivers license or a passport that should be enough to allow her or him to vote. There should be a statewide database to verify of course. I'm thinking something is rotten in Denmark, but I could be wrong.

I am still holding out hope Franken will pull this out. I do have to stand up for my state of Minnesota though they are one of the most voter friendly states. Minnestoa is one of the few states you can register the day of the election. If any Minnesotan wasn't registered yesterday all they needed to do was fill out a form with a Minnesota drivers license, a utility bill, or another voter to vouch for you.

"Minnestoa is one of the few states you can register the day of the election."

Bravo! I did not know that. Minnesota is way ahead of the curve when it comes to voter registration (as well as in many other things - God Rest Paul Wellstone's soul).

This recount will flush out any shenanigans on either side in the vote.

Another voter to vouch for you? You have to be kidding. This explains a lot.

Truthfully, of all the candidates running across the nation Al Franken is the least attractive. He is a very angry and bitter man. I think he reflects badly for your party.

Al Franken is a native Minnesotan unlike his opponant Norm Coleman. I have been a fan of Al's for years even going back to his days on the radio. I don't see him as an angry person, and I has happy to vote for him yesterday.

I have a lady I work with that moved here a couple of months ago from another state. She has not yet gotten her MN license because you have to take a written test to do so and need to take off work in order to do that since the testing stations are not open past 9-5. She is currently living with a relative and has no utility bills in her name. Are you saying she should not be able to vote? Her

Funny, I thought the knock on Franken was he was not serious enough. Which is it? Is he not serious enough or is he too serious? Doesn't make sense to me. Maybe what is really bothering you is he is not just another fop?

This is so obvious it isn't even funny. they can bus in "voters" from all over and their "friends" can vouch for them. This is such an easy avenue of voter fraud it is unbelievable. If your friend doesn't think her right to vote is important enough to get a new ID, then she shouldn't be allowed to vote. In most states you can get a state issued ID without taking a driving test.

I said what I don't like about him. He is angry and bitter. I don't live in Mn, so it really doesn't make much difference to me, but I think he reflects badly for your party.

Give me a break many people don't even have a license should they not be allowed to vote either. Minnesota investigates any voter fraud and those people are prosecuted. Minnesota has been doing this for many years without problems. You don't get to say if people don't care enough they should be able to vote. EVERYONE should be able to vote. My state goes out of it's way to make sure everyone gets their vote. I went to college in Wisconsin they bent over backwards so that each student could vote registering them the day of there as well with just a piece of mail as proof. See I believe in a person right to vote, republicans believe in supressing peoples vote. Thankfully now the correct party is back in charge!
