Why Obama Won

Obama won on his own terms, strategically and symbolically. He rolled up a series of contested states, from Colorado to Virginia, long out of Democratic reach. And his victory reflected the accuracy of his vision of a reshaped country. Racism, much discussed, turned out to be a footnote, and the African-American voter turnout was nothing spectacular.

so negative...don't forget the Hispanics and Asians voted for him too...oh and older people voted for him as well...there are not over 60 mil young and African Americans in this country...so your "facts" or not actually facts. instead of throwing stones and negative comments...let's try to come together as a country...I think our future generations deserve that.

Today we got out before the Obama win hit the market, and hit it hard.'

According to the nightly news, it was not the Obama win but the fact that the word was released that 150,000 more jobs were lost last month was what was causing the market to drop.

Are you one of those always partisan types or you just assumed that and hadn't heard the news?

You do realize that markets are cyclical in nature.

The job report isn't due until Friday...so the market was either responding to an actual event...like the Obama election...or an imaginary one, like the future job report.
