Just a reminder that those who are so unhappy about Obama being elected President are free to leave the United States and go live someplace else.

>>I can pretty much handle anything, thank you.

Apparently you can't because you just invited those that aren't happy with Obama being elected as president that are exercising their right to freedom of speech to move to other countries. And btw, if the Democrats that were so unhappy with Bush had done 8 years ago what you just suggested Republicans that are complaining to do then we wouldn't have had any Democrats left to elect one as President.

Well, you are welcome to think whatever you like or whatever you need to in order to make yourself feel better.

I never disputed your right to freedom of speech as you did to about 48% of the country. I just find fault with anybody Republican or Democrat that uses the "if you don't like it leave" lame excuse for dealing with people that disagree with them. But if you want to continue using it, fine. That's your right. God bless America.

As a fellow "lib", I disagree.

So, are you saying that you would have packed up and left the country if your candidate had not won? Or are you saying that you would not have felt anger or said anything at all in the form of a complaint?

I hope you would not have left the country for I'm sure there are a lot of people in your life who love you and would feel deep sadness over that decision. I would find it hard to believe that you would have had

I'm just a Republican coming out of lurkdom to let you know that I'm not going anywhere. I'm here to stay for better or for worse.

Actually, this is a thread which didn’t really require any replies.

Certainly they are free to leave. They are also free to stay, to fight for what the believe in, to try to protect this great nation from the wrong direciton they think it is heading in. Just as those of us who felt the county was going to be heading in the wrong direction (as it turns out we were entirely correct) 8 years ago may well have chosen to stay and fight.

i would miss those of the opposition who love this country and try to find a way to present their view of its problems. I'm not much thrilled by those looney tune folks who glom onto utter nonsense and claim it of significance, but they exist on both sides of the aisle.

Free to leave, perhaps, but not free to waltz into another country and live there just because you want to.
