It totally floors me that such background ignorance about what goes on in the world makes it possible for some to make, and even more incredibly, find people who will so readily believe such disengenuous claims.

Uhh-why? These are the same people that elected George Bush.

Twice.

You are right, you don't know what kind of experience I have, or who I really am, or what level of contact I have with U.S. and Russian officials who are part of the arms control discussions.

You don't need to believe me, but my Russian sources (who are very much involved in the process) know when the speech was written and what its motivation was.

And, the talks that are coming up are not "low level."

I am very, very good at my job and my career and have the respect and admiration of people around the world and on all sides of the political spectrum.

And yet it's Barry's pucker they're looking for...and getting. LOL!

>>> If Obama did not have contact, he would have been criticized. He did have contact, and you're criticizing.

I don't criticize Obama for having contact...just for being an appeasing a-hole when he did.

>>LOL! Yes, but he's nowhere near as skilled at it as Bush who would actually look into Putin's eyes and see Putin's soul.<<

or have McCain look into his eyes and see 3 letters: K - G - B ;)

>>> You are right, you don't know what kind of experience I have, or who I really am, or what level of contact I have with U.S. and Russian officials who are part of the arms control discussions. You don't need to believe me, but my Russian sources (who are very much involved in the process) know when the speech was written and what its motivation was.

Er...right...so when Medvedev made very provocative statements...threats, actually...within hours of Obama being elected, it was all just a big old coincidence. LOL! Hey, I've got some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you.

>>> And, the talks that are coming up are not "low level." They are the senior-most and only arms control talks we have with the Russian, except for the occassional mention during SecState/ForMin meetings. If the Russians want to influence the U.S. position on arms control issues, this is exactly where they would do it. Again, you don't need to believe me, but I've been kept quite up to date on the planning for these meetings.

Chats between under-secretaries are pretty low level...and certainly don't warrant posturing on the level of the Russian President in a national address hours after a US Presidential election. Again, I feel it's incredibly naive to believe that the timing of these statements were coincidental. If Russia had wanted to influence the US position on arms control issues, they could have made these statements at any time and via many other vehicles besides a national address...but they didn't.

>>> As for Russia knowing Bush. Yup, they do, and they've been trying to get him to back off the missile defense deal for years. They are still trying.

Nope...they know Bush won't back off...so they're aiming their guns at the appeaser. Barry isn't a supporter of the missile shield in the first place but he is big on disarmament...by putting their missiles on the table along with a some missile disarmament, he's laid several new cards on the table to get concession from Barry without having to give up a thing.

>>> There are few things that I am an expert on. But I am an expert on arms control, and I am quite up to date on the current issues on the agenda.

I'd suggest you take another peek. The Russians are playing dirty poker.

I'm not insulting you...I don't know who you are..."expertise notwithstanding," I'm COMPLETELY disagreeing with your assessment of the situation. I find it naive.

I think you are insulting her, just like you insult most people who have a different viewpoint than yours.

If you think disagreeing with someone is "insulting them" then...Boo hoo.
