I think it's a certain faction of the GOP that is attempting to distance the party from her. The fact is, though, a huge number of Republicans support her. The GOP should avoid the in fighting and find another way to regroup.

Great commentary. I think Sarah Palin did her best under incredibly difficult circumstances. And she did have a lot of appeal. I tried convincing my dear mother that Palin wasn't qualified, but she was a tenacious Palin supporter. She just wouldn't hear it. In many ways, Palin delivered. The McCain campaign simply had a bad campaign strategy.
John McCain should have run on the perception he nurtured over the years of being a moderate. That was his biggest mistake, in my opinion. He abandoned
