Obama's girls have a nice school to attend; if public education is so great, how come his girl's don't go to public school?

I understand them all right - I just don't like what I see. Some people have more invested in being right than in our country being successful. Kind of odd since their candidate ran on the slogan of 'country first', then they accuse everyone of having bashed the Bush when he won in 2000 and 2004, even though some of us, maybe even many of us, were not posting on this board then. Really it just makes them look small and petty, and makes me wonder if there is even more behind it - if you know what I mean.

I doubt anyone who has spent much time in public schools would agree that public schools are great.

I'd love for you to point me to just ONE public school on the NCLB website which is all white per your claim.

While you are at it, find me ONE person in the United States who doesn't claim their state has the toughest tests for NCLB. Every mom makes this claim regardless of state.

Severely disabled kids can be excluded from NCLB. If your school has a lot of them, they don't affect the grade.

As to your disparagement of private schools handling of kids with impairments, it is contrary to my direct experience.

Then persuade Obama to allow those choices for everyone.

No one is keeping anyone from doing anything as far as sending their children to private school.

Newsflash: anyone can send their kids to private schools, provided you have the money and your kids are smart enough to get in.
