Obama's girls have a nice school to attend; if public education is so great, how come his girl's don't go to public school?

Note the title of the union in question "Teachers Union". It does not say children's union, it doesn't say parent's union, it says teacher's union.

If a public servant thinks public schools are good enough for my kids and will not support alternatives such as vouchers why are these same schools suddenly not good enough for his kids?

Since by 'union' the organization is referring to the participants that are employed it would stand to reason that it was actually comprised of teachers.

Why would you think that by virtue of being elected President, someone thinks everything in this country is just wonderful?

Yes the participants are teachers. The union's job is to look out for their members, which is fine. However what's good for teachers isn't always good for children, parents or anyone else.

The WISC is an IQ test. It has nothing to do with the bubble tests that have become so important thanks to NCLB.

Not the answer to either of my questions. Apparently when all else fails, throw out a feeble red herring and see if it will attract strikes. In my case, no, it won't.

If you are attempting to say teacher's unions are looking out for my children I do not believe it. Ditto for parents or communities at large.

Well as I've yet to hear of anything positive BO has done for public schools I hope people aren't actually depending upon him to make much of an impact. Anyway the problems with public schools are not big enough for BO to proclaim other people's children shouldn't go to them. Just his own.

BO didn't distinguish between types of standardized testing.

But I'll try to find out what other sorts of "bubble tests" Sidwell Friends administers.
