A bit more on the overall theme of this thread.

I voted for Gore in 2000, and was not at all happy about how the disputed election was handled.

When it was resolved, Bush didn't bother me - after all, he promised to be 'a compassionate conservative.' When 11 September occurred, I fully supported how he handled the aftermath, including sending forces to Afghanistan.

He lost me in the spring of 2002, when the first hints of attacking Iraq surfaced, 15 months after his inauguration.

It wasn't his best speaking.

I thought the dog response was cute, but my third grade teacher was a martinet about using sounds like "uh" and "umm" and "well". Said my teacher, "If you can't quickly say what you mean without using filler sounds then talk slower and more deliberately".

Obama was late, maybe there was something at the preceding meeting on the economy with which he was grappling rather than being in the here and now at the conference. We'll see if he fares any better in future media outings.

What? You did not know that Ole Nancy called the Psychic Friends Hotline to talk to Dionne Warwick? lol. Well, I don't know WHO she called to talk to, but she probably had some hefty bills that

It wasn't a super horrible thing, just quite a surprise that he even went there. He is supposed to be so well spoken, it was a bit surprising to hear such a thing from him.

I can't say it made me like him more though. At least it didn't make me like him less.

No surprise that the press is covering for him right away, that was a front page story on the site you linked to. I can't help thinking that the story would have been one of outrage if it had been Bush that said something similar.
