How in the world did you get that democrats or other parties don't can, etc out of the fact I'm glad I'm a redneck Republican? Can you point where exactly I said that only Republicans can make pickles, etc?

BTW, if you like sourdough bread I have a great recipe for it. I always keep sourdough starter in my fridge. It's easy to make, time consuming but it is great for sandwiches, or you can make a round loaf for parties with spinach dip in it. Yummy. As for cleaning, I mostly use baking soda and vinegar for everything. Vinegar kills just as many germs as bleach and it doesn't smell as strong (although when I use it on carpets in my steamer, it smells like a vinegar douche in my house until the carpet dries), and borax and baking soda work great for dishwashers, and vinegar for the rinse aid.

Our milk doesn't come in bags.

I think it got deliberately passed over, not unnoticed!

Ugh, I had so many tomatoes this year that we are almost sick of them. Almost, but I am missing the fresh from the garden ones. I loved to have a tomato sandwich on my homemade sourdough bread. I could live on those (for a short time anyway!) We are expanding our garden next year. My husband took some seeds from a pepper I was cutting up this spring and planted it, and it gave us a ton of bell peppers. I fell in love with the Hungarian wax peppers, they have some kick but not like a jalapeño. Can you plant a patio garden?

Can you stock up and freeze/can stuff from the market? Almost anything you would can, you can freeze, too. I tell you from this summer and the hunting/fishing my husband does, my deep freezer is packed full. Whenever we had clams, I saved the broth for clam chowder, whenever we wanted to grill chicken, i pre-boiled it and saved the broth for chicken soup this winter. Peppers freeze well, I figured out. I have some moose just waiting to be made into some Guinness stew, and lots of chicken carcasses waiting to be made into soup. I can't wait for winter, I can't get another thing in my deep freezer if I tried. The positive side of it is that aside from milk, flour (which I saw at Costco today 25 lb for 6.75, good deal, I'll be getting some next trip!) eggs and juice for the kids, I won't need to get a thing for quite awhile. It does pay to stock up....speaking of stocking up, I stopped at Cabela's this afternoon after Costco, I could not believe the 80 or so people standing at the gun counter waiting to purchase guns. We stocked up on ammo before it gets too expensive, spent over $300 on it, but apparently we aren't the only ones afraid of this turnout. At least we weren't buying guns, I'm sure we would still be there waiting. I just want my dh to be able to continue with his hunting. It saves my pocketbook, and even though ppl disagree, it helps save many animals from horrible suffering deaths from disease in their packs.

Great!! Because I'm sure now that you don't have to convince me about how I should vote for Obama, I would think that you would have a lot of time to figure great comebacks, but seeing as all your energy was spent trying to convince others that Obama was the "one", I can completely understand that you would be lagging in that department.
