I just watched this segment on the news (WRAL). She could easily have had a discussion about politics without inserting her own beliefs.

My understanding is also that teachers are supposed to leave personal views out of the classroom.

you really should watch the video ... I believe she regrets it now but her words at the time, her tone ... made it so clear what her thoughts were.
