I actually find Rush's schtick entertaining in short doses - problem is many of his "dittoheads" take him literally.....

Actually, Fox News tried a comedy news show in 2007.

I saw it. Unfortunately, it just wasn't funny -- it felt like they were trying too hard or something. Could a conservative news comedy be funny? Yes, if it had great writers and actors. I always enjoy the Daily Show and SNL on the few occasions that they skewer Democrats (the Biden-Murtha SNL bit this season was hilarious and Kristen Wiig's ongoing portrayal of Nancy Pelosi and Amy Poelher's Hillary are pure genius.) But then my philosophy is that we have to laugh at ourselves -- it keeps us humble.
