I do not think President-elect Obama is picking ALL of Clinton's former staffers. I also don't think that President-elect Obama has picked ALL of his staff. I am quite sure that President-elect Obama is trying to find the most qualified people he can to do the jobs that need to be done. I wonder if you asked the same type of question about why our current occupant chose so many of his daddy's former staff?

I am quite sure President-elect Obama will do as he thinks best, perhaps if you have any better ideas you should email President-elect Obama and let him know, given your wealth of knowledge, how best to run his administration. I am sure President-elect Obama is willing to listen to his constituents viewpoints, unlike the current occupant.

One thing that bothers me is calling someone by a name other than that which they choose for themselves. As much as I disliked the presidency of GWB, I've never called referred to him as anything other than president, GWB, or George.

>>you can still make your point by dropping the 'Barry.' I know it would make it easier to give proper consideration to another's point of view.<<

ITA. It makes me feel like no matter the response, it won't be good enough.

>>As someone who did change a name and for whom labels are a sensitive subject<<

My 9 year old DD always says, "labels are for soup cans". It is very true.

Well I am not a mind reader, and I don't play one on TV, but if you go back a read - really read - my first paragraph I do believe that I did in fact speculate as to why President-elect Obama was picking the people he was picking. I doubt that you will agree with me, but so be it.

As to the question about the current occupant of the White House - I was just curious as to your past history following presidential elections. I simply wanted to ascertain if you were always as curious about new presidents as you are about President-elect Obama or if it was simply that President-elect Obama has captured your attention to a greater degree than the current occupant. It does seem, at least to me, based on your multiple postings on President-elect Obama that you are fairly obsessed with him. I can understand why you might be, President-elect Obama does seem to generate a lot of interest.

Coming from someone with multiple Obama blinkies and signs I wouldn't say that you could logically reach that conclusion.

>>I am very interested in what he is doing. I will be watching him and making sure that I point out the reasons why I didn't vote for him.<<

It's going to be a long 4 years!
