I'm not sure how much clearer I can make it ... if the rules for the tunnel were not clear or not in place to start with they need to be, imho.

These could be classified as 'fighting words' (from Wikipedia)

Fighting words are written or spoken words, generally expressed to incite hatred or violence and to place the targets of the words in danger of harm. Specific definitions, freedoms, and limitations of fighting words vary by jurisdiction. It is also used in a general sense of words which when uttered create (deliberately or not) a verbal or even physical confrontation by their mere usage.

---------

Fighting words are not protected speech but the Supreme Court has a long history of overturning convictions due to the nuances of the cases.

What was written constitutes 'fighting' words according to the definition above and that would be in violation of the university's racial discrimination policy.

did read an article that said the action the college takes it to paint hate messages (as mel said) and I think if that is true and that is what they do in those situations ... to treat these kids DIFFERENTLY would be wrong.
