The Democrats, voting along party lines, blocked the bill before it ever got out of committee.
There had been several things the Democrats wanted to pass but Bush said no so it didn't happen. Please tell me how this is different. You didn't say anything about McCain BTW.

What would you like to know about McCain?
< Because, whether you'd like to believe it or not, there are very few companies that have the knowledge, operations and manpower to work under those "war-time" circumstances.
>>> There are companies that were over looked and have war-time experience. My husband has been to Iraq and wasn't very impressed with Haliburtan. He fault the were very wasteful with tax payer funds.
Which companies, with equal experience and resources, were looked over?
>>> So they Republicans' desire to stay in Iraq and keep funding Iraq is of no concern to you?
>>> His degree is 7 years total. Four years as an undergraduate and 3 years getting his Law degree.
Yes...I must have misunderstood when you said "with a Law Degree-7 year degree"
>>> Sorry I didn't get the number right.
No problem...just trying to help.
< Not at all. If Palin learned more from her experiences at different schools then she'd be way up on Obama who apparently spend a good part of his college years so high on drugs he probably doesn't remember them.
>>> If it makes you feel better to think that, then continue to do so... It makes no sense what so ever ((shrugs))
>>> There was also a poll that showed 63% of Texans believed Obama to be Muslim. Both polls only had around 500 people involved in them.
Was it a coincidence that the 500 people (and the people interviewed by Zeigler) were so grossly uninformed?
< Bush, the "experienced President" acted to defend the country with the full-throated support of the Congress
>>> He acted to defend the country in Afghanistan.. not so much in Iraq.
Well, you know, those crazy guys in the UN unanimously declared Iraq to be a threat to international peace and security...and those silly Democrats in Congress, after pushing Clinton to blow the crap out of Iraq in 1998, they jumped right on the bandwagon to declare war with Iraq in 2003...whatever were they thinking?
< Um...then I presume that you find Palin qualified to be President?
>>> Not even a little bit. You have heard her speak haven't you.
But I thought you said that no one has had experience being President before they were President, so how do you know she isn't qualified for the job?
>>> I asked for a non-partisan article stating your claims. Thanks for failing to provide one.
I'm sorry, I should have gotten the links from the Daily KOS. LOL!
< Obama refuses to release his transcripts...why? And how did a guy with apparently "average grades" get into Harvard?
>>> Were does it say "average grades" ? You can get a 3.49 and still not get honors. When applying to Law School have to take the LSAT and write a letter of intent. They take all of these factors into consideration when excepting or deny someone. His G.P.A could have been 3.49 with high LSAT scores, and an awesome letter.
That's a presumption based on the fact that Obama will not release his transcripts, no mention has ever been made that he had a high grade point average, and he did not graduate with honors, despite being "a monk" and applying himself studiously.
< Did he? Quite a jump from a B- student in high school to average student at Occidental College and Columbia University to the Law Review at Harvard.
>>> So Palin was just young, in her twenties, but Obama doesn't get the same consideration in his early to late teens?
Same consideration? The way you and the MSM offer Palin the same consideration you freely hand the inexperienced, naive, dangerous Obama? When McCain was "put to the test" he responded with character and integrity...when Obama was "put to the test" (albeit a much, much easier "test") he responded with utter selfishness, deciding that it was easier to self-medicate with drugs. Obama's life is filled with poor judgment...but by all means, let's forever give him the benefit of the doubt.
< In 1990, and for several years prior, tensions were high at Harvard, and in particular at the Review, over race issues. During such tumultuous times, it doesn't seem surprising that the Review would take the opportunity to elect it's first black President.
>>> Your right the only thing that got him in was the color of his skin. I am sure he was they only black person there so they had no other choice to pick him.You want to dislike Obama and there is nothing that will make you like him. He want his to fail which is kind of scary.
Just looking at the facts. An unexceptional student and equally unexceptional community organizer suddenly becomes magna cum laude? A guy with no demonstrable writing skill wins a competition to join the Law Review...and inexplicably gets elected President of the Review coincidentally while racial issues are rife at the university and the Review?
You certainly have every right to excuse one's poor performance in college and vote for her for President in 2016 because you think she is just like you.

Actually, it would be a success rate of 66 2/3%...and Obama was at Harvard for 3 years, not 7.
His degree is 7 years total. Four years as an undergraduate and 3 years getting his Law degree.
Well, I didn't say YOU personally...but those were the results of the Zogby poll.
There was also a poll that showed 63% of Texans believed Obama to be Muslim. Both polls only had around 500 people involved in them.

It's a concern to me that we win.

Let me be the first to inform you that it is a tad difficult to be accepted to not just 1, but 2, Ivy League universities.
And the fact remains Palin went to 5 different colleges and it took her ~ not the usual 4 years but ~ SIX years to graduate from collegesssssss.
You certainly have every right to excuse one's poor performance in college and vote for her for President in 2016 because you think she is just like you.
