In his first post-election television interview, Chicago activist Williams Ayers, who became a center of controversy during the presidential election, breaks his silence in an exclusive interview with Chris Cuomo on Friday's "Good Morning America."

(AP Photo/Landov)Ayers, a leader of the '60s radical group the Weathermen, became a political lightning rod because of past associations with President-elect Obama.
In his first exclusive interview, Ayers talks about the reissue of his 2001 memoir, "Fugitive Days," and his journey from privileged youth to '60s radical.

From the Wall Street Journal: I'll post the whole link below:
William Ayers gave a lengthy interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America” today about his relationship with President-elect Barack Obama and the role that tie played in the 2008 presidential campaign. Ayers has broken his silence since Obama won the presidential election last Tuesday. During the campaign, Ayers had refused all interview requests.

I couldn't disagree more, it was in the media for weeks every single day. I was sick of hearing about it. Obama addressed it and McCain would not leave it alone. The media covered it every day. I feel like for a non story like that it was overcovered in the media. I am so sick of Republicans blaming the media for them losing the election. Obama's message appealed to more people and McCain did not run a good campaign. Quit blaming the media, even McCain doesn't blame the media.
One of the main reasons McCain lost was the economy specifically his handling of the economic crisis. There were other factors as well including choosing Sarah Palin.
Why put 95% in parenthenses? That is what he said hundreds of times, let's wait until he gets to office before we decide he can't do something okay.
