>>> He wrote a Note. That is the most one would ever see from a student.

That's the allegation. The note was unsigned, heavily edited and someone else claimed authorship. Are you saying that no student would ever publish more than a single, unsigned note?

>>> As I said, the job of law review editors is not to write the content, but to select, edit and publish it.

And again, I didn't ask what the job of the editors was, I asked if it was "typical" for editors to make NO contributions to the review or other publications?

>>> And as you know, Obama is a published author.

That's the claim...but not a scholarly work, or opinion piece but two books about himself...imagine the hubris. There are some who believe that Obama didn't author the books, citing a distinctly different writing style than that shown on the "unsigned note."

Except that when McCain learned about Keating's illicit activities he distanced himself...while Obama chose to embrace Ayres and make him a close friend.

>>> Yet that didn't seem to bother Obama and he went into the mortgage deal anyway. Yes Obama said it was a bonehead idea, but isn't it just like the Keating issue?

The "mortgage deal" that Obama was referring to was the purchase of a portion of the neighboring lot belonging to Rezko's wife, approximately 6 months after he bought his house. Obama said "I consider this a mistake on my part and I regret it."

The really shady deal happened with the purchase of the house itself. The house and adjoining "garden plot" had been sold jointly for the past 80 years. Obama couldn't afford the "garden plot"...in fact, they couldn't afford the house either, but they were able to work out a deal with the owners for $300K less than the asking price...but the owners insisted on the sale of both parcels at the same time.

Here's where things get interesting...

"In the Sun-Times interview, Obama acknowledged approaching Rezko about the two properties being up for sale and that Rezko developed an immediate interest."
http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/124171,CST-NWS-obama05.article

...that might sound terribly convenient, but still somewhat reasonable because Tony Rezko is a real estate developer. However, it wasn't Tony Rezko who purchased the property, but rather Tony's wife, Rita, who is NOT a real estate developer. Interestingly, Rita makes $38,000 a year...so it seems surprising that she was able to purchase a piece of undeveloped property for $650K. Almost as surprising, was the fact that Rita never attempted to develop the land...but rather turned around and sold it to...drum roll please...Michael Sreenan, Tony Rezko's lawyer, who still owns the UNDEVELOPED property.

She "sold" Obama a portion of the land 6 months later, so he could have on site parking,

Another anomaly is the price Obama paid for his house. Obama said...

"As we understood it, the house had been listed for some time, for months, and our offer was one of two and, as we understood it, it was the best offer. The original listed price was too high for the market at the time, and we understood that the sellers, who were anxious to move, were prepared to sell the house for what they paid for it, which is what they did."
http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/124171,CST-NWS-obama05.article

...here's the lie...er..."coincidence"...Obama stated that the house had been on the market for several months, which is why the sellers agreed to lower the price...BY $300K...after being on the market for only "months." And after dropping the price to accommodate the sale, Obama would like you to believe that the owners then insisted on selling the "garden plot" at MORE THAN FULL PRICE?...ON THE VERY SAME DAY! Wasn't that parcel of land on the market for the exact same time as Obama's property? If Obama got a $300K deal on his property, why would the wife of a savvy real estate developer agree to pay $150K MORE THAN FULL PRICE? And to top it off, to devalue her land, and make it harder to sell, by selling off a sizeable strip to Obama? Hmmm...

FOR THE LAST TIME,OBAMA NEVER SAID AYRES WAS A CLOSE FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is in you mind. If you want to continue to believe that there was close association other than being on a committee with him, then nobody will be able to change what you feel. who knows, maybe you have a child molester living in your neighborhood you aren't aware of.

I am trying not to be rude, but it is clear you have no understanding of what a Law Review is or how it works.

"Are you saying that no student would ever publish more than a single, unsigned note?"

Like I said, I have not researched the history of Harvard's Law Review, so I would not say never, but I have never seen or heard of more than a single piece ever published from one student.

1) Obama lied.

2) Ayres said Obama was a "family friend."
