to anyone who was offended by my use of the term fops in relation to its gay connotation. Another poster informed me that the term is a derogatory term for gay men. Needless to say, I did not know and apologies again. I am ceasing all use of the term immediately. Dumb mistake.
The new term is FP, or Fox-Republican politician.

I had never heard the term used to describe gay men, but I did know the term since I used to be addicted to Regency Romances growing up.
The fop (also known as a fribble, popinjay, fashion-monger, or clotheshorse) is a stock character who appears from time to time in fiction. He is a person who makes a habit of fastidiously overdressing and putting on airs, aspiring to be viewed as an aristocrat (if he is not already one).
