Fox Repub protecting us from smut LOL!

Our FCC Chair has a new plan to rid the Internet from pernicious porn, slowing down service for all in the name of truth, justice and the Fox Republican way.

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Bush_FCC_chairman_considering_pornfree_Internet_1201.html

Thank Goodness for these moral men, like our Fox Republican sexual Senators like prostitute addict Vitter (hey, I guess real life sex is not as bad as the virtual kind) and Larry "I want me some sex in the Minneapolis airport bathroom" Craig. Now for those who are into the child kind, we've got Fox Republican pederast Foley, who no less than former Fox Republican Speaker of the House Hastert and current minority Fox Republican crybaby Boehner tried to help cover up his crimes to save his seat in the 2006 mid-term elections.

And we haven't even gotten to the sex for illegal oil royalties scandal, or the gay prostitute who visited the White House posing as a reporter well over a hundred times (some Fox Republican deleted the Secret Service visitation records from Wikipedia which were so fun to post). That's the seal of approval for moral conduct.

And what about Rupert's moral "Fair and Balanced" channel running tons of T & A, all in the guise of decrying it of course?

And yes the Democrats had Spitzer. And yes we chucked him in a New York second. Come on Republicans. Stop the phony holier than thou pandering and clean up your own act already. Clean it up for real, not just virtually.

Hey...if it is cost-free, why would anybody care if it didn't include porn?

One really has little to do with the other. Much as dh and I get great mirth out of Senator Craig's bathroom antics, this does not sound like such a bad idea, IMHO. It would be a way to extend infrastructure and give low-income people internet access. It makes sense that a free, government-sponsored service would take steps to filter content to be safe for kids. Think of it as PBS for the internet, only paid for by the communications industry, not by the government.

Wow...I didn't know liberals were so passionate about their internet porn. Don't worry, the Obamessiah is on the way...free money, free health care and free porn for everyone! Yay!

Would it really be free, or would you have to suffer endless pop-ups to get to your site? And don't be so hard on free porn...it's just love right?...and consenting adults expressing themselves...I mean, what liberal could be against that?

This liberal isn't against it, and I've never visited a porn site in my life.

I sincerely doubt that their filtering system will be sophisticated enough to filter true porn from legitimate site and content.

Mark, you are so right about this. iVillage and NIH have both been blocked by filtering software that prevents folks from accessing information on such subjects as breast feeding, cervical cancer, and birth control.
