Looks like Chrysler, which is privately owned by rich Republicans, is pulling all its right-wing strings in DC to get it a piece of that auto bailout $$$.

Defense contractors. Big oil. Big pharma. Same thing for the past 8 years in which this Republican Administration has spent trillions and pulled every regulatory string to help its buds without any regard for everyone else. This is what you are about. While the top of the party goes on its personal feeding frenzy with your taxpayer dollars, they whip you up with issues like anti-stem cell research, anti-gay marriage, anti-liberal this and and liberal that. If you are a Republican making under 200K a year, you are getting played. Big time.
PS I am still for the auto bailout, but not to help rich Republicans. Rather I am strongly for it to help America because the terrible fallout due to one of these companies going under right now. I point this out to help Republicans understand their party's motivations and what their party is truly about.

Yes.
You're kidding yourself if you think the nonfeasance of the Republican Party isn't at the heart of their current troubles and struggles to stay alive.
1.
how about simply allowing people to spend their own money as they see fit?
Oh wait, the reality of it is that the government is going to spend money that no one has... They're simply going to spend a trillion or so (you know, eventually, it adds up to "real money") that they will create out of thin air.
The government isn't spending "taxpayer money" - it's creating new money (wonderful for inflation you know...).
Sorry, I don't particularly like deficits, whether they're created by Democrats or Republicans.
I never thought it was about me, how could it be, you don't know me. However, that doesn't change the fact that your extreme partisan outlook makes it impossible to discuss or debate any topic with you. The threads that continually repeat the same message over and over b/c one or both parties in unwilling to consider that there can be shades of grey attached to their view point are many, and pointless.
I see recent posts with the same message that I was reading when I was in lurking mode a few months ago.
So, good luck my friend. I hope you can find some acceptance of the GOP or within the GOP. You may not agree with all view points, but I don't take you for such an extreme leftist that you can't or don't agree with some.
"1. I wouldn't pay a car wash attendent $28/hour."
If I had the cash, I would at Christmas time.
"2. I pay my employees based on their performance, not their seniority. That way, you get much better employees."
No kidding! I work in an industry that give the same pay and the same pay increases; the same raise every year, regardless of job performance. It frosts my butt as I do the above and beyond. At least it is to many others, I think it's part of the job so I do it. I get a lot of kudo's from others that work with me in other disciplines, but as far as admin is concerned, everyone gets the same raise.

"$28/hour like UAW workers and if the newer attendants only were paid $14/hour like new UAW workers?
